Family Resource Center

The Family Resource Center will provide a formalized program of study in the area of parent education (at least two months in length with a minimum of four sessions required for completion); formal and informal developmentally appropriate play activities; one-on-one parenting information/support; referrals to appropriate resources; and opportunities for family networking. Activities will be provided by staff with expertise in child development and family support and will promote cognitive, social and emotional child development, good health practices, safe home environments, linkages to other service providers and effective kindergarten transition strategies. Services will be provided based on the input of parents with young children.
