Insurance Benefits for Child Care Providers

The Insurance Benefits Package for child care providers will address employee turnover. The package will provide for reimbursement for a portion of health insurance coverage (one third of the amount per employee up to $90 monthly) as well as providing life, dental and short term disability insurance for qualified full time employees. To be eligible for this activity, child care facilities will have 40% of their employees participating in Teacher Education and Compensation Helps ® (T.E.A.C.H.) or be declared early childhood majors achieving a minimum of six semester credit hours annually at an accredited college or university or possess a two-year degree in early childhood or child development or its equivalent.  Employees must be full time (a minimum of 30 hours per week). All facilities must possess a three-star or higher rated license.
