Professional Development Supplement

A Professional Development Supplement Program will encourage child care providers to pursue an early childhood education degree and promote retention. Professional development supplements will be paid to those who are declared early childhood majors achieving a minimum of six semester credit hours annually. Participants must also be working full time (a minimum of 30 hours per week). This project will consist of the development and implementation of professional development supplements as well as the disbursement of tuition vouchers to providers attending college level courses and substitute compensation to child care facilities for coverage of the early childhood classroom while a provider attends these college classes.
